IdStart

Struct IdStart

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct IdStart;
Expand description

Characters that can begin an identifier.

If using NFKC to fold differences between characters, use XidStart instead. See Unicode Standard Annex #31 for more details.

§Example

use icu::properties::CodePointSetData;
use icu::properties::props::IdStart;

let id_start = CodePointSetData::new::<IdStart>();

assert!(id_start.contains('x'));
assert!(!id_start.contains('1'));
assert!(!id_start.contains('_'));
assert!(id_start.contains('ߝ'));  // U+07DD NKO LETTER FA
assert!(!id_start.contains('ⓧ'));  // U+24E7 CIRCLED LATIN SMALL LETTER X
assert!(id_start.contains('\u{FC5E}')); // ARABIC LIGATURE SHADDA WITH DAMMATAN ISOLATED FORM

Layout§

Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...) attributes. Please see the Rust Reference's “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
